Description:
Stanford University’s School of Engineering, a pioneer in innovation across technology, healthcare, energy, and business, is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join the Stanford Center for Global and Online Education. This role focuses on elevating Stanford Online, Stanford Enterprise Education, and Stanford Center for Global and Online Education’s visual presence across digital and print platforms. The position is eligible for remote work with occasional visits to campus as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Brand Development & Management: Create and maintain visual identity systems, design guidelines, and templates ensuring consistent branding across multiple entities. Continuously evolve visual language to remain relevant and true to Stanford’s mission.
  • Enterprise Client Support: Design custom marketing and promotional assets for enterprise education programs and corporate clients, supporting revenue-generating initiatives. Develop professional collateral reflecting Stanford’s reputation.
  • Leadership & Institutional Branding: Produce materials for executive participation in conferences, panels, and public engagements. Support brand-building initiatives to strengthen Stanford Online’s market position.
  • Learner-Centric Marketing & Digital Design: Create web design wireframes and prototypes with the UX team. Develop digital advertising assets across platforms, product imagery for open enrollment programs, and print materials as needed.
  • Project Management & Collaboration: Manage projects from concept to delivery, coordinate with marketing, UX, cross-functional teams, and external vendors. Maintain quality control and adherence to brand standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices. Bring innovative ideas and adapt to changing priorities and customer needs.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field, with at least three years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles and software applications
  • Experience creating multi-platform design solutions including digital, print, and web
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative and strategic design thinking

Physical requirements:

  • Primarily desk-based computer work, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, or fine manipulation tasks
  • Visual acuity, including color vision, required for design accuracy
