BCI – Opportunity Senior Logistics Officer

How your day will look like:

• Establish relationships with freight forwarders to secure competitive pricing and efficient agreements with suppliers
• Source/qualified new freight forwarders
• Establish and develop relationships with freight forwarders and shipping lines
• Liaise with field offices to determine procurement needs and appropriate delivery schedules best value for money shipping deals
• Understand clearing procedures in various countries of destination
• Take ownership of orders from the time order is requested by planning till orders are cleared and enter the warehouse
• Understand the different materials and their chemical attributes needed for the production
• Provide regular status reports to field offices and other customers

Requirements:

• University degree (Business, Economics); Masters’ is a plus
• Experience having worked with a freight forwarder for 5 years+
• Very competent in English; Arabic and French is a plus
• Strong verbal/presentation and communications skills
• Commercial savvy and experienced in commercial negotiations
• Team player with cross-functional achievements
• A positive attitude, cooperative, and hardworking
• Sound organizational and time-management skills
