Description:
A great opportunity is available for an experienced Mid-Level Data Center Engineer to support critical data center infrastructure operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is ideal for professionals with strong technical expertise in hardware deployment, infrastructure maintenance, and data center operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading data center equipment while ensuring reliable infrastructure performance. You will also work closely with vendors, contractors, and technical teams to support ongoing operations and scheduled maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain server, storage, and networking hardware within the data center.
• Perform racking, stacking, hardware replacement, relocation, decommissioning, and infrastructure upgrade activities.
• Manage copper and fiber-optic cabling, including patching, labeling, and termination coordination.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and physical infrastructure issues across the data center environment.
• Support Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) activities while maintaining accurate equipment inventory records.
• Assist with planned maintenance, hardware refresh projects, and infrastructure deployment.
• Coordinate onsite activities with vendors, contractors, and technical support teams.
• Maintain technical documentation, asset records, and maintenance reports.
Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years of experience in data center infrastructure operations or hardware support.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Networking, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with server, storage, and network equipment installation (Racking & Stacking).
• Experience with hardware replacement, relocation, decommissioning, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, rack layouts, equipment connectivity, and fiber/copper cabling.
• Familiarity with incident management, service requests, and change management processes.
• Experience with data center power distribution, UPS systems, cooling, and environmental monitoring is preferred.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and IT Service Management (ITSM) tools is an advantage.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to provide onsite technical support and participate in scheduled maintenance activities.

• Data center infrastructure operations and hardware deployment
• Copper and fiber-optic cabling, structured cabling, and rack management
• ITIL practices, ITSM processes, and incident/change management
