Description:

ATS is looking for a U.S. Customs Clearance Entry Specialist in UAE who will play a vital role in the global supply chain, ensuring the efficient movement of goods across international borders while maintaining compliance with all customs laws and regulations

Customs Documentation & tariff Classification:

Prepare, review, and submit customs documentation, including import and export declarations, invoices, bills of lading, and other required forms to ensure compliance with CBP regulations. Processing Custom and PGA (Participating Government Agency) entries for clearance of goods into the United States

Filing ISFs after receiving Pre-Alerts

Understanding of client specific requirements and clearance of specific commodities

Accurately classify imported and exported products according to the Harmonized System (HS) and ensure the correct application of duty rates and regulations.

Valuation:

Determine the proper valuation of goods for customs purposes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international valuation rules.

Duty and Tax Calculation:

Calculate and report applicable customs duties, taxes, and fees, and advise clients on the associated costs.

Customs Entries:

Prepare and submit electronic customs entries and other required paperwork using the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) or other relevant systems.

Compliance:

Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and trade policies, ensuring clients’ compliance with relevant laws.

Border Coordination:

Coordinate with other relevant agencies, such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), when necessary for specialized shipments.

Software Proficiency:

Utilize customs brokerage software and other digital tools to streamline processes and maintain compliance.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in customs brokerage software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in the field of customs brokerage or international trade is typically preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field may be preferred but is not always required.
