We are looking for several Mobile Application Development lead for one of our Telecom based clients in Dubai.

Job Title: Development Lead – Mobile Applications

Location: Dubai

Position Type: Contract – Full-time

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for designing and architecting Mobile app software solutions.
• Define Mobile app development and Integration best practices; ensure that the team follows coding standards and compliance requirements.
• Identify potential risks to project success and implement mitigation strategies. Proactively address technical challenges to avoid project delays.
• Proactively address technical challenges to avoid project delays.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the development lifecycle.
• Facilitate regular team meetings for updates, planning, and issue resolution.
• Communicate technical aspects of projects to non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in project planning, providing input on development timelines and resource requirements.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for mobile app development, such as Swift (iOS), Kotlin/Java (Android), or cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
• In-depth knowledge of both iOS and Android platforms, including their respective development environments, SDKs, and best practices.
• Familiarity with popular integrated development environments (IDEs) for mobile app development, such as Xcode (iOS) and Android Studio (Android).
• Understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.) and the ability to choose the appropriate architecture.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers to create user-friendly interfaces.
• Experience with mobile database systems, both local (SQLite, Realm) and cloud-based (Firebase).
• Experience with customer journey and experience monitoring tools (uxcam, google analytics) and integration of security tools (Dex Guard, IXGaurd etc.)
• Architect and set up CI-CD and ensure devOps practices
• Proficient in integrating mobile apps with web services and third-party APIs. Understanding of RESTful APIs and data formats like JSON.
• Knowledge of mobile app security best practices, including data encryption, secure communication, and authentication.
• Ability to lead and motivate a mobile development team, providing guidance and support.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to implement and adapt them to the mobile app development process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mobile app development.
• Banking / Finance / Fintech Experience is a plus
