Hiring Mechanical Design Engineer for Civil Design Projects in Dubai, with the following skills:

 Position Overview:

The Mechanical Design Engineer part of the design and development team and responsible for the mechanical design and technical support documentation.

Specific job responsibilities:

• Carries out detailed mechanical design work for projects (residential, commercial, etc), including HVAC, Fire Protection, Water Supply, Drainage & Gas systems
• Agreeing the mechanical design approach with the Engineering Manager and Senior Mechanical Design Engineers
• Responsible for the specification compliance of designs
• Responsible for mechanical part selection taking into consideration obsolescence, availability and cost
• Responsible for preparing and presenting mechanical designs at design reviews
• Follows departmental processes relating to management of designs
• Responsible for carrying out design change requests in a timely manner
• Ensures the mechanical design output fits in with all other aspects of the design
• Prepare all technical documentation for the Tender Stage, such as Material Specification, Bill of Quantity etc
• Follow up through site supervision, including review and approval of shop drawings and material submittals in accordance with the related project documents and design drawings
• Monitoring the progress of work at the site through site inspections to ensure that all relevant installation is in accordance with the related standards and practices
• Attends technical coordination and progress meetings with Clients, Contractors and Suppliers and follows up with the related approving authorities

Educational Background/ Experience:

• Degree qualified
• AutoCAD/Inventor experience desirable as is HAP
• Ability to co-ordinate with the other discipline Engineers (electrical) within the department to produce multidisciplinary design solutions

Preferred Candidate:

• 10+ Years creating Mechanical Designs
• Minimum of 5 years Dubai Consultancy experience
• Experience in the Design of Low/High-rise Residential, Retail, Office, Mixed-use, Hotel and Commercial buildings

with ‘Mechanical Design Engineer’ in the ‘Subject’
