Description:
A growing organization in Dubai is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong UAE accounting experience with knowledge of financial reporting, VAT regulations, compliance requirements, and account reconciliation processes.
The successful candidate will manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, support reporting activities, and ensure compliance with UAE financial standards. Candidates with experience in Forex, trading, financial services, retail, or other commercial sectors will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations and support financial reporting activities.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist with tax filing requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow reports and petty cash records.
• Track company expenses and prepare management reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments for financial data and required documentation.
• Perform additional finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial compliance.
• Knowledge of Payroll and WPS is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in Forex, Trading, or Financial Services industries will be considered an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of:
• UAE accounting practices and VAT compliance
• Financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management
• Accounting software and Microsoft Excel
