Description:
English Language School Private Dubai is seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary Literacy Teacher to join its team for current and future teaching opportunities. This position involves working with students in Years 7–11 within a British Curriculum environment, helping them build strong literacy skills and develop confidence as independent readers.
The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering engaging literacy instruction, monitoring student progress, and supporting learners with diverse educational needs. Previous experience with literacy development and familiarity with the British Curriculum will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging literacy lessons that promote reading comprehension and language development.
• Inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in reading and learning.
• Monitor reading progress and provide targeted support based on individual learning needs.
• Plan and implement effective literacy interventions where required.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student success.
Requirements:
• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree and a recognized teaching qualification.
• Must meet KHDA eligibility requirements.
• Experience in English teaching, literacy development, or reading intervention.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Ability to support students with diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with the British Curriculum and reading assessment methods is an advantage.
