Van Oord, a global leader in marine engineering and dredging, is seeking a Junior Planning Engineer to join its project team in Dubai. This role involves supporting dredging and marine infrastructure operations by assisting in schedule preparation, monitoring project progress, and ensuring activities are aligned with project timelines and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Collaborate with senior planning engineers to create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) tailored to dredging operations.
• Monitor site progress, collecting and analyzing data from dredging and site teams.
• Support the preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports for management review.
• Track key milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely project execution.
• Coordinate with operations teams to compile production data, including dredging volumes, equipment logs, and weather-related downtime.
• Participate in planning meetings and internal project reviews.
• Assist in preparing look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and documentation for delay analysis or claims.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in project planning or control, preferably in marine/dredging projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of dredging equipment and methods (CSD, TSHD, etc.) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Attributes:
• Experience with port construction, land reclamation, or coastal development projects.
• Willingness to work on-site or in remote project locations.
