Description:
Ultra Maritime is seeking a motivated Accountant I to join our team supporting naval defense programs worldwide. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, consolidating general ledger accounts, preparing financial reports, and assisting senior accountants with balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documentation. Candidates must be eligible for the necessary security clearance due to the sensitive nature of our defense programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform basic accounting activities, including maintaining and reconciling general ledger and subsidiary accounts
• Compile financial data to support senior accountants in preparing financial statements and reports
• Analyze current costs, revenues, commitments, and obligations to project future financial outcomes
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company and regulatory standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Entry-level experience is acceptable (0+ years)
• Eligibility to obtain the required security clearance for defense programs
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
