Hiring Senior Quantity Surveyor (with Estimation Experience)
Location: Sharjah, UAE
Reports to: Project Manager / Contracts Manager
Job Summary:
An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with expertise in estimation is needed for a contracting company in Sharjah, UAE. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in major infrastructure projects. The candidate will manage quantity surveying and estimation tasks, ensuring cost control, accuracy, and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Tendering: Prepare cost estimates for infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities), analyze tender documents, and prepare BOQs.
- Cost Control & Management: Monitor project costs, report and forecast expenses, manage variations and claims.
- Contract Administration: Assist in negotiations, contract preparation, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Project Management Support: Provide cost-related advice, assist in resolving disputes, and collaborate with the project team to meet cost objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal and external stakeholders, attend meetings, and provide project financial updates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- 10+ years of experience with contractors in the UAE on infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of UAE regulations, market rates, and construction practices.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, MS Project, and cost estimating software (e.g., CCS, Primavera).
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
