Tangent International are hiring Senior Android developer

Location: Dubai

Who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Android version APP. Your primary focus will be development of Android app and the integration with its back-end services.

You will be working alongside an iOS and Backend developer working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new features of the app for the Android platform
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science
• 7+ years working experience in software development and Android app development
• Have published one or more Android apps in the Play store
• Proficient and deep experience with Kotlin and Android Studio
• Extensive experience developing end-to-end Android mobile apps, including design,
• development, and deployment to app marketplaces
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Understanding of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Experience in benchmarking and optimization
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
• Experience managing QA and product testing
