Description:
A Dubai-based client, through Tapping Right, is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – FAAS to join its Financial Accounting Advisory Services team. This opportunity is suited for a highly motivated accounting professional with strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and experience managing client engagements across multiple industries.
The selected candidate will play a key role in delivering accounting advisory and financial reporting services, overseeing compliance projects, supporting finance transformation initiatives, and mentoring team members. The position also involves collaborating with UAE and US clients while contributing to business development and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead accounting advisory and financial reporting engagements for clients in the UAE and the United States.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memorandums in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Oversee financial reporting, consolidation processes, period-end closing, and statutory compliance.
• Manage IFRS conversion projects, accounting policy reviews, and implementation of new accounting standards.
• Provide advisory and compliance support for UAE VAT and Corporate Tax matters.
• Drive ERP implementation projects, finance automation initiatives, and process improvement activities.
• Mentor, guide, and develop Associates and Senior Associates.
• Oversee project delivery, resource utilization, quality assurance, and profitability.
• Support business development by preparing proposals and participating in client presentations.
Requirements:
• CA, ACCA, CPA (US), or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 5–8 years of experience in FAAS, CMAAS, Accounting Advisory, Financial Reporting, or Audit.
• Strong expertise in IFRS with working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with UAE/GCC VAT, Corporate Tax, Free Zone regulations, and e-invoicing.
• Demonstrated experience in client engagement management and team leadership.
• Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or Zoho ERP.
• Willingness to work with partial overlap during US business hours.
• Strong knowledge of:
• IFRS and US GAAP standards
• Financial reporting, accounting advisory, and statutory compliance
• ERP systems, finance transformation, and process automation
