Job Description / Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Planning Engineer to join our construction team in Dubai, UAE. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project schedules to ensure efficient project execution. This role is crucial in optimizing project performance and contributing to the successful completion of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules using appropriate software tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Analyze project plans and specifications to create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and provide proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
- Prepare regular reports on project progress, highlighting schedule deviations and proposing corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess on-site progress and gather information for schedule updates.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on schedule optimization and project planning strategies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project planning processes and tools.
Salary:
- AED 14,000 to 25,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region.
- Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address scheduling challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented and organized approach to work, focusing on accuracy and precision in scheduling and reporting.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry regulations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and management practices in construction projects.
- Professional certifications in project management or scheduling (e.g., PMP, PSP) would be an advantage.
