Description:
A growing construction and contracting organization in Dubai is seeking a Junior Accounts Payable Accountant to support its finance operations. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
The selected candidate will be responsible for handling accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors while adhering to company policies and UAE financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and verify supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and execute payments while ensuring proper documentation
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documents
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors as needed
Requirements:
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year focused on accounts payable
• Familiarity with invoice processing, vendor management, and payment cycles
• Basic experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data handling and reporting
• Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance
• Prior experience in the construction or contracting industry will be considered an advantage
