Description:
A leading Grade-A construction company is urgently hiring an experienced General Manager to oversee construction operations and drive the successful delivery of major projects across Dubai. This senior leadership role is ideal for a commercially focused professional with extensive experience managing large-scale construction portfolios and business operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project execution, operational excellence, financial performance, strategic growth, and stakeholder management while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with UAE regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead construction operations, project portfolio performance, and business expansion initiatives.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, procurement, manpower allocation, risk management, and recovery strategies.
• Manage Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and site teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Drive cost control, productivity improvements, value engineering, and overall project profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, ISO standards, QA/QC requirements, HSE policies, and Dubai authority procedures.
• Supervise permits, NOCs, inspections, authority approvals, and project completion certifications.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10–15+ years of UAE construction operations or project management experience.
• Proven leadership experience with a main construction contractor.
• Strong background in delivering commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects.
• Excellent knowledge of budgeting, procurement, contracts, cost control, QA/QC, and HSE practices.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, and DEWA procedures.
• Dubai Civil Defense regulations and authority approval processes.
• UAE construction regulations and project compliance requirements.
• Master’s Degree, PMP certification, or relevant authority accreditation will be an added advantage
