Description:
Legacy Group Services is looking for an experienced General Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals with strong UAE accounting experience and a solid understanding of financial reporting, taxation, and ERP-based accounting systems. Candidates must be available for immediate joining.
The selected candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, manage receivables and payables, prepare statutory tax filings, and ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records using ERP systems.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and the General Ledger (GL).
• Prepare and issue invoices for one-time projects and recurring services.
• Monitor and reconcile payments received through Stripe.
• Follow up with customers regarding outstanding invoices through email and phone.
• Send payment reminders, account statements, and overdue notices.
• Perform bank and Stripe reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates on overdue receivables.
• Process supplier invoices, company expenses, and vendor payments.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT Returns accurately and within deadlines.
• Prepare and file UAE Corporate Tax Returns while maintaining complete supporting documentation for tax compliance.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or a finance-related qualification.
• 6–8 years of total accounting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the United Arab Emirates (mandatory).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of:
• ERP accounting systems.
• UAE VAT regulations and compliance.
• UAE Corporate Tax requirements.
• Financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting.
