Description:
Al Med Retail is looking for a qualified Food Safety Officer to join its team in the UAE. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance across food operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that food products, production processes, and facilities comply with UAE food safety regulations, Dubai and Abu Dhabi Municipality requirements, HACCP standards, and internationally recognized quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with UAE food safety regulations and municipality requirements.
• Monitor food production processes to maintain HACCP and quality standards.
• Conduct food safety inspections and identify areas for improvement.
• Support food safety audits and ensure compliance with ISO 22000 standards.
• Maintain accurate food safety records and documentation.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Promote food safety awareness and best practices across operations.
Requirements:
• 2–5 years of experience in Food Safety or Quality Assurance within the F&B, hospitality, catering, or food manufacturing industry.
• HACCP Level 3/4 Certification is mandatory.
• ISO 22000 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification is preferred.
• Dubai or Abu Dhabi Municipality Food Safety Training Certificate or equivalent is preferred.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is an advantage.
• Valid UAE Driving License is preferred for multi-site inspections.
• Willingness to work flexible hours during peak production or service periods.
• Strong knowledge of:
• UAE food safety regulations and municipality requirements
• HACCP principles and ISO 22000 standards
• Food quality assurance, compliance, and audit procedures
