General Manager – Rotating Equipment

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering and MBA degree preferred.
  • 10 years of proven experience and expert knowledge in the power generation/rotating equipment or related sector
  • Experience of at least 8 years in a middle management capacity in UAE is essential
  • Strong supervision or manpower management capability.
  • Broad commercial and contractual understanding.
  • Strong Management skills

Job Role:

  • Initiate and develop improvement plans, cost optimization measures, and other strategic initiatives to enhance growth and development of the company
  • Set department targets, ensure plans are developed to support these targets, review the progress and modify if necessary in order to achieve the budget target.
  • Develops the annual marketing plan, specifically advising on: realistic forecasts for each product and services, territory, realistic costs of operating the sales force; and sales promotion plans
  • Responsible for managing the Sales teams, developing a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organization’s presence throughout the Middle East.
  • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of plant systems in accordance with plant procedures and rules, by developing and implementing procedures, system and methods to reduce risks to health and promote safety awareness to create a safe working environment for employees.
  • Ensuring the integrity of the rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, pumps, fin fans, blowers, expanders etc.
  • Plan, organize, lead and control shutdowns for rotating equipment.
  • Assist in the development of the Maintenance Budget and manages the allocation for the rotating section as per agreed plans; ensures that expenditure complies with budgetary parameters and promotes sound and ethical financial management practices in the Business Unit.
  • Responsible to review organization, recruitment and training programs to ensure employee’s professional skills.
