Description:

We are currently recruiting a Commis I Baker.

The preferred candidate must be in UAE.

Requirements

  • Set-up daily mis-en-place as per standards.
  • Cleans and monitors work areas, equipment, utensils.
  • Set-up daily mis-en-place as per standards.
  • Records all recipes in his own recipe book.
  • Works under the supervision and close guidance of the Chef de Partie.
  • Listens to guest complaints, comments and relays same to his Superior and ensures proper action plan prepared by the Executive Chef is followed.
  • Ensures to report on duty on time and maintain punctuality.
  • Collects items from the store against the proper requisition and place them in the proper place on first-in first-out basis
  • Ensures all the refilling are well presented on the buffet and maintains the quality
  • Follows all training which are held in the hotel.
  • Control wastage and spoilage by keeping it at a minimum and to be aware of the food cost.
  • All HACCP responsibilities, requirement and standards are followed and meet at all times.
  • Ensures expiree dates are labelled on products are required and FIFO been followed.
  • Familiarize yourself with the company values and model desired behaviors.
  • Perform tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
  • To attend any meetings, training sessions or courses that may be beneficial to you and your department on request from your Supervisor/Manager.
  • Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
  • Being attentive to guest’s requests
  • Accurately and promptly fulfilling guests’ requests.
  • Anticipate guest’s needs.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the guest experience.
  • Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude.
  • Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.
  • Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers.
  • Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all company policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety and ensure your direct reports do the same.
  • Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures, demonstrate a working knowledge of fire prevention and to follow the hotel evacuation plan on hearing the alarm.
  • To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming at all times.
  • In order to be considered for this role you should hold a recognized culinary school diploma and at least 2 years work experience in Bakery.
  • With a 4*/5* hotel work experience
  • Good command of the English language (verbal, written and knowledge).
