Hiring Associate Director Engineering and Operations to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role heads up a central section that provides subject matter expertise across the five airports for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing, Specialist Systems, Civils and Minor Projects delivery, through subcontracted services. The role has 7 direct reports and a team of 35 persons reporting through to this position.
Due to the criticality of the airfield civils and the compliance elements of the airfield, the target candidate for this role is to have been in a management role covering the control of airfield maintenance, particularly runways, taxiways and pavements, and has a sound knowledge of regulatory standards – ICAO and GCAA (Preferably).
The candidates targeted for this position should high caliber, self-driven individuals who have:
Degree level (minimum) – Civil Qualification
Has operated at a Senior Manager, Director or equivalent level role.
Has been responsible for maintenance and compliance of airfield maintenance activities (Pavements Maintenance) to an aviation regulator, for >24 months.
Further experience in airfield pavement construction projects is beneficial.
Led an Airport FM and/or Engineering function, with majority of outsourced services.
Has operated or are able to operate in a client facing role, in an airport or complex high profile and critical service asset operation.
Ideally 10 years of airport experience.
