Description:
Adamjee Insurance is looking for a Medical Underwriter to join its Medical Underwriting team in Dubai. The role is suitable for a healthcare insurance professional with experience in medical underwriting, risk assessment, and insurance operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing medical underwriting decisions, evaluating quotations, coordinating with reinsurers, and ensuring compliance with DHA/DoH regulations.
This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional insurance environment while contributing to efficient healthcare insurance operations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise medical underwriting decisions in accordance with DHA/DoH regulations.
• Evaluate standard and referral medical insurance quotations.
• Coordinate with reinsurers regarding underwriting requirements and approvals.
• Manage TPA activations and related operational activities.
• Support broker training initiatives and ensure effective communication.
• Prepare and maintain regulatory reports as required.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Proven experience in medical or health insurance underwriting.
• UAE insurance market experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance processes and TPA operations.
• Good analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Medical underwriting principles and insurance risk assessment.
• Healthcare insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
• Reinsurance coordination and TPA management.
