Description:

We are recruiting for a qualified Project Quantity Surveyor to join the Summertown Projects Team in Dubai. 

The preferred candidate must be currently based in the UAE and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in interior fit outs and project management, hold a degree in Quantity Survey and be experienced with MS Project, MS Office, CAD Measurement, CCS (Word and Excel). 

Responsible for project commercial administration, change management processes and general post contract quantity calculations.

Project Commercial Administration includes but is not limited to:

  • Coordinate with Site Team in monitoring, recording, and reporting on-site progress.
  • Prepare and submit periodic/progress payment applications.
  • Prepare and submit final accounts.
  • Prepare and distribute Subcontractor payment certificates.
  • Prepare and distribute Subcontractor final accounts.
  • Monitor lead times and record delivery of materials vs procurement schedules.
  • Liaise with project managers, sub-contractors, vendors, consultants and/or clients as might be required.
  • Attend site and progress meetings internally as well as with Clients when needed.
  • Assist Estimation in the preparation of quotations.

Change Management includes but is not limited to:

  • Identify and subsequently notify contract variations.
  • Compile, price and submit variations with necessary documents.
  • Assess, value and incorporate subcontractor variations and claims during project execution.
  • Contract Quantity Calculations includes but is not limited to:
  • Continuous post contract measurement and updates to enable accurate procurement and variation scheduling.
  • Review and analyze contract bill of quantities for quantity risk.
  • Sub-contract variations management and negotiations
  • Commercial and contractual correspondence and administration
  • Project related cost management in coordination with Procurement
  • Maintain register on approved variations and total project value
  • Certifying of interim and final Accounts for projects executed
  • Contract Management incl. extension of time and prolongation applications
