Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant with a strong background in financial management and regulatory compliance to join our team. The ideal candidate will also act as the Designated Compliance Officer (DCO), holding an AML/CAMS certification, and ensure our business operations fully align with UAE regulatory frameworks.

The role combines accounting expertise with AML/CTF compliance responsibility, and is ideal for candidates with experience in construction, fit-out, real estate, manufacturing, trading, or software services industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance:

• Perform full-cycle accounting, including month-end and year-end closing.
• Oversee project costing, subcontractor billing, and financial analysis.
• Ensure accurate general ledger entries and financial control.
• Manage VAT, corporate tax, and financial reporting in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Operate efficiently using ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, or Oracle.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure readiness for audits.
• Prepare periodic financial statements, forecasts, and budgeting reports.

Compliance & Regulatory:

• Serve as the Designated Compliance Officer for AML and CTF.
• Implement and monitor AML/CTF frameworks and controls across the organization.
• Conduct due diligence (CDD/EDD), transaction monitoring, and risk assessments.
• Report Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
• Ensure compliance with DNFBP, ESR, ICV, and other UAE regulations.
• Train staff on AML policies and regulatory updates.
• Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies and respond to compliance-related inquiries.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting (mandatory).
• AML / CAMS Certification (mandatory).
• Minimum 5+ years of UAE experience in accounting and compliance.
• Prior experience in project-based industries (construction, real estate, etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of VAT, ESR, ICV, DNFBP, and UAE corporate tax laws.
• Proficiency in Odoo, SAP, or Oracle ERP systems.
• Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage dual responsibilities effectively.
