Description:
A contracting and fit-out business in Dubai is looking for a Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and bookkeeping activities.
The ideal candidate should have UAE accounting experience, knowledge of VAT compliance, and strong skills in maintaining financial records, reconciliations, and reporting.
This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage accounting tasks with a structured weekly and monthly workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record sales invoices, supplier bills, receipts, and payment transactions accurately.
• Maintain proper documentation and organize records according to project folders.
• Prepare weekly aged debtors reports, supplier payment lists, and petty cash counts.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare profit checks for ongoing projects.
• Prepare payroll sheets for WPS submission.
• Support VAT return preparation and filing through EmaraTax.
• Assist with year-end financial documentation and auditor requirements.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and support daily finance operations.
Requirements:
• 1–2 years of experience in a UAE accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT, including filing through EmaraTax.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software such as:
• Tally.
• Zoho Books.
• QuickBooks.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Construction or fit-out industry experience will be an advantage.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Bookkeeping and financial record management.
• Bank reconciliation and payroll processes.
• VAT compliance and accounting documentation.
