Description:
Al Zahra Private Hospital Dubai is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Midwife to join its maternity care team. The role is focused on providing safe, professional, and patient-centered care while supporting mothers and families throughout their childbirth journey.
The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality maternity services by providing clinical care, educating expectant mothers, monitoring fetal development, and supporting safe delivery practices. Candidates with western qualifications and experience in water birth assistance will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional midwifery care and support to mothers before, during, and after childbirth.
• Educate and counsel expectant mothers regarding pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care.
• Provide immediate newborn care and support post-delivery procedures.
• Monitor fetal development and identify potential complications.
• Assist in labor and delivery procedures while ensuring patient safety.
• Promote maternal mental health and emotional well-being.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow healthcare standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams to deliver quality maternity care.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery or Nursing with Midwifery specialization.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a UAE Labor & Delivery Unit.
• Strong knowledge of maternity care practices and newborn care.
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate care and support to mothers and families.
• Western qualification and experience assisting with water births will be an added advantage.
