Description:
A company in Dubai is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate should have UAE accounting experience and a good understanding of accounting processes, financial transactions, and reporting procedures.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing accounting entries from start to finish, supporting expense management, handling customer collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. Candidates with knowledge of VAT, accounting software, and Odoo will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record and post accounting transactions from beginning to end.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support daily accounting operations.
• Manage petty cash and process employee expense reimbursements.
• Follow up on customer collections and outstanding payments.
• Manage Post-Dated Cheques (PDC) for tenants.
• Assist with accounting documentation and financial reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company procedures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE.
• Basic knowledge of VAT regulations and accounting principles.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with Odoo accounting software will be preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with good organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage accounting tasks accurately and meet deadlines.
