Accounting Specialist
Our local Portland client seeks an inquisitive accounting professional to support their team! This Accounting Specialist role involves detailed investigation of accounting transactions in order to resolve errors and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoys using their critical thinking skills to solve problems.
This is a fully remote role.
Preference will be given to those available to work core Pacific Time Zone hours.
Accounting Specialist Responsibilities
- Review accounting transactions for accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve complex accounting discrepancies between systems.
- Complete account and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding payments/checks and reissue as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to provide insight on accounting issues and monitor progress to resolve errors.
- Support documentation of updated SOPs.
Accounting Specialist Qualifications
- 1 year of relevant accounting/analysis experience.
- Strong knowledge of AP functions and GL reconciliations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Team-oriented with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary: $26+/hr. (DOE)
