Planning Engineer key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Responsible for the development of the baseline program.
  • Ensuring the Construction program meets all required access dates, milestones and key dates in compliance with the planning requirements, contract data and works information.
  • Contribute to assessment of program risks and program risk analysis, including development and implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Establish and implement methods of determining activity schedules within the project team.
  • Attend Client / Consultant progress meetings and compile weekly progress reports including the detailed activities, actual start and completion dates, and current progress or remaining duration.
  • Clarify activities that have a critical impact on the schedule; prepare the critical items action report.
  • Interfacing with other functional teams including, but not limited to: procurement, technical team and construction execution.
  • Determines critical-path activities for project milestones
  • Clarify activities that have a critical impact on the schedule; prepare the critical items action report.
  • Hands on Experience in EOT claims preparation, notice of claims.

Candidate Specification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Certification in planning and scheduling of construction projects
  • Experience in planning and scheduling must be in the UAE
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Primavera P6
  • Knowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk Management
  • Strong communication skills
