Hiring for Kubernetes Administrator
JOB PURPOSE:
The Kubernetes Administrator will be involved in designing and implementing solutions to leverage a Kubernetes cluster, configuring hardware, peripherals, and services, managing settings and storage, deploying cloud-native applications, and monitoring and supporting a Kubernetes environment.
They will also undertake duties like researching opportunities for automation, troubleshooting issues as reported by users, and mentoring team members in best practices.
They will often collaborate with other members of the IT Ops team to promote security, efficiency, and scalability of core services and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor Kubernetes multi cluster setup both on Premise and on Azure.
- Update Kubernetes nodes.
- Manage Azure container registries.
- Configure CICD pipelines to deploy to Kubernetes clusters.
- Configure Azure Application gateways and ingress controllers.
- Monitor the status of the applications running on Kubernetes.
- Containerize existing applications and package them using Helm.
- Manage Azure Key vault secrets and certificates
- Renewing and upgrading certificates
Technical Qualifications /Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 8+ Years of experience in IT.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in AKS
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Docker
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Implementing CICD process flow using Azure DevOps
- Minimum 2+ years of experience on Cloud Deployments
- Hands on experience on Pipeline creation from scratch and troubleshooting cloud configuration issues
- Prior experience in enabling, on-boarding other PaaS services in AKS environment.
- Proficient understanding of GIT source control
- Proficient understanding of Terraform
- Proficient understanding of Azure platform
- Good understanding of Azure Identity and pod identity
- Good understanding of Azure Application insight and log analytics
Nature of Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in AKS
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Docker
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Implementing CICD process flow using Azure DevOps
- Minimum 2+ years of experience on Cloud Deployments
Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
