Description:
A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in commercial management, contract administration, cost control, and claims management throughout the complete project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project finances, subcontractor relationships, contractual matters, and commercial operations. Professionals with strong negotiation skills and experience handling complex construction projects are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage main contract administration, contractual clauses, milestones, and payment terms.
• Prepare monthly Interim Valuations and IPC submissions while reviewing subcontractor payment applications.
• Manage variations, Extension of Time (EOT), and cost claims including prolongation, disruption, and acceleration claims.
• Prepare contractual notices and statements of claim while supporting negotiations with employers and consultants.
• Maintain detailed project records and establish strong claim evidence documentation.
• Manage project cost control, cash flow forecasting, and budget versus actual monitoring.
• Handle subcontractor contracts, measurements, variations, backcharges, retention, and guarantees.
• Coordinate quantity verification, site measurements, and quantity take-off activities.
• Work closely with project, engineering, technical, and QC teams to ensure smooth commercial operations.
• Support final account preparation, variation order resolution, claims settlement, and project close-out.
Requirements:
• Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
• Solid knowledge of contract administration, claims management, and cost control.
• Experience managing subcontractors and commercial agreements.
• Ability to handle project valuations, payment applications, and final accounts.
• Strong understanding of construction measurement and quantity verification.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle.
