Description:

HiBob is currently hiring a Customer Experience Engineer with a strong focus on Payroll support to join its growing team in the United States. This role is designed for a technically skilled and detail-oriented professional who understands US payroll systems and enjoys solving complex customer challenges in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy for customers, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting mission-critical payroll operations. This position directly impacts employees’ ability to be paid correctly and on time, making it a high-responsibility and high-impact role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve payroll-related escalations with accuracy and urgency

• Investigate and troubleshoot issues affecting payroll runs, tax processing, benefits, and reporting

• Support customers during critical payroll cycles to ensure smooth and timely execution

• Ensure accurate data synchronization between HiBob and integrated payroll systems

• Act as a subject matter expert on US payroll configurations and compliance requirements

• Guide customers on payroll setup, best practices, and system behavior impacts

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to communicate payroll-related feedback and improvements

• Identify system misconfigurations and proactively reduce payroll risks

• Contribute to documentation, workflows, and payroll best practice guidelines

Requirements:

• 4 to 6+ years of experience in Payroll, HRIS, or Payroll Support roles

• Strong understanding of US payroll processes, compliance, and regulations

• Experience troubleshooting payroll systems and integrations

• Ability to analyze workflows and identify configuration issues

• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Experience with payroll platforms such as ADP, Gusto, Workday, or Paylocity

• Exposure to APIs and system integrations

• Background in SaaS customer support or implementation/onboarding roles
