A leading IT services organization in the UAE is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backup & Storage Engineer for a 12-month contract opportunity. This full-time, onsite role is ideal for professionals with extensive expertise in enterprise backup, storage infrastructure, and disaster recovery solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise backup environments, ensuring data protection, business continuity, and high system availability. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced enterprise technologies in a dynamic and professional IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup and storage infrastructure.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
• Administer SAN and NAS storage environments while optimizing system performance.
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful data recovery when required.
• Work with enterprise backup platforms and storage technologies to maintain secure and reliable environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to support business-critical systems.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and best practices.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide operational support throughout the contract period.
Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Backup & Storage Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Enterprise Backup & Recovery solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, and Disaster Recovery technologies.
• Experience working with Veeam, Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Dell EMC, NetApp, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Relevant technical certifications.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work full onsite, 5 days per week, in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
