Description:
Anchorage Shipping Line is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to lead its accounting and finance operations at its Dubai office. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong UAE experience and a background in the shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry.
The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, manage accounting processes, monitor profitability, and ensure accurate financial reporting while supporting the company’s overall business objectives. Candidates with industry-specific experience will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the company’s accounting and finance operations.
• Oversee shipment costing, billing, collections, and financial settlements.
• Monitor profitability and prepare financial performance reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Support management by providing financial analysis and operational insights.
Requirements:
• 4–6 years of UAE accounting and finance experience.
• Previous experience in NVOCC, shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of shipment costing, billing, collections, settlements, and profitability analysis.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple financial responsibilities effectively.
