Description
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, your main focus will be on Fixed Assets and Property Tax, with a strong emphasis on using Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
- Work with Fixed Assets and Property Tax, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manage, manipulate, and analyze data
- Handle treasury operations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary
- Collaborate with the team to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience with Fixed Assets is necessary.
- Familiarity with Property Tax is desirable.
- Knowledge of Treasury Operations is beneficial.
- Skills in Treasury are advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a Staff Accountant role is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work is necessary.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks is required.
