Description:

ALCHEMY is currently looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior HSE Engineer to join its Oil & Gas operations team in Abu Dhabi. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Health, Safety, and Environmental management within large-scale industrial and energy sector projects.

The selected candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining HSE standards in accordance with AD NOC Codes of Practice and HSE Management Systems. The role requires excellent leadership skills, technical expertise in risk assessment, and the ability to manage HSE activities across design, construction, and commissioning phases.

Candidates with extensive knowledge of Oil & Gas safety systems, operational risk controls, auditing procedures, and hazard management practices are encouraged to apply for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute Project HSE Plans in compliance with ADNOC CoP and HSEMS standards

• Conduct detailed HSE risk assessments including HIRA, HAZID, and HSEIA studies

• Review and monitor HSE deliverables during engineering, construction, and commissioning stages

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate HSE teams along with contractors on-site

• Implement HSE management systems, internal audits, and corrective action programs

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and industry best practices

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and environmental performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience within the Oil & Gas industry

• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities

• NEBOSH International General Certificate or Oil & Gas Safety Qualification preferred

• Strong knowledge of:

 • HSE risk assessment methodologies including HIRA and HAZID

 • Oil & Gas process operations and safety technologies

 • HSE auditing, hazard identification, and corrective action systems

 • Construction and commissioning HSE compliance standards
