Description:
A well-established recruitment partner supporting leading FMCG organizations in the UAE is currently seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join a growing finance team in Ajman. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cost accounting within fast-moving consumer goods environments and a solid understanding of financial control processes.
This role focuses on analyzing production costs, monitoring inventory performance, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across operational activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting management with cost insights, variance analysis, and efficiency improvements within the manufacturing process.
The position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with ERP systems in a fast-paced FMCG setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage product costing and ensure accurate cost allocation across operations
• Monitor inventory levels and support effective inventory control processes
• Perform variance analysis and report deviations between actual and standard costs
• Assist in monthly closing activities and cost-related journal entries
• Maintain accurate financial and costing records for reporting purposes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to track cost efficiency
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and reporting standards
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting within the FMCG industry
• Strong understanding of product costing, inventory control, and variance analysis
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Strong knowledge of:
• Cost accounting principles and manufacturing cost structures
• Inventory management and control processes
• Financial reporting and variance analysis techniques
