Description:
This is a full-time on-site role located in Abu Dhabi for a Health Safety Environment Officer. The Health Safety Environment Officer will be responsible for monitoring and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies, conducting safety audits, developing preventative measures, conducting safety training sessions, and investigating incidents and accidents. The Health Safety Environment Officer will work closely with management to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry
- Excellent knowledge of local regulatory requirements for health, safety, and environment
- Experience conducting safety audits, developing preventative measures, and conducting safety training sessions
- Experience investigating and reporting incidents and accidents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is required
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety Management
- System (OHSAS 18001) or Environmental Management System
