Description:

Rock House is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join its team and support accurate and efficient payroll operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of payroll procedures, compliance requirements, and employee record management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll records, maintaining accurate employee data, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and working closely with the Human Resources department to support smooth payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and verify employee work hours to ensure accurate payroll processing.

• Calculate wages based on hours worked, salary rates, and applicable deductions.

• Process paychecks and direct deposits in a timely manner.

• Maintain and update payroll records, including employee status, benefits, and deductions.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies through detailed review and communication.

• Prepare payroll reports for management review and record keeping.

• Collaborate with the HR department to maintain accurate payroll information.

• Assist with year-end payroll processing, tax filings, and audit requirements.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Additional certification in Payroll or Accounting is preferred.

• Proven experience in payroll processing or a related role.

• Strong understanding of payroll procedures, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
