Hiring Operations Manager – Football Academy

Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and maintain the daily operations of a football academy in Dubai. The role requires the ability to manage many aspects of the football academy’s operations, including resource allocation, staff management, equipment management, and safety protocols. The Operations Manager will need to have strong leadership skills and be able to work collaboratively with the Head Coach, including assessing and planning the academy’s training and development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the football academy’s operations, including facilities, staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols, guidelines, and standard operating procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all staff and participants.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the academy’s resources, which may include a wide range of assets such as coaches, equipment, and technology.
  • Work with staff to develop and maintain the academy’s facilities, ensuring that they are consistently maintained to high standards that meet all health and safety regulation compliances.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach to assess and plan training and development programs that enhance the skills and techniques of the academy’s athletes.
  • Provide operational support to the academy’s management team and share regular reports with senior management regarding the day-to-day operations and progress reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Hospitality, Operations Management or a related field.
  • At least five years’ experience in operations management, preferably in a sports or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with and establish connections with professional teams, sponsors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of sports and training programs, particularly in football, with an understanding of the unique requirements of youth players.
  • Highly organized with an ability to priorities tasks and meet deadlines, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to work flexibly, including a willingness to work evenings and weekends on occasions.
