Description:
PureLab is seeking an experienced Senior Laboratory Technologist – Cytoscreener to join its diagnostic laboratory team in Al Ain. This opportunity is ideal for laboratory professionals with extensive experience in cytology screening and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy, quality assurance, and patient care.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in cytology analysis, laboratory compliance, and quality management processes. Working closely with pathologists and laboratory teams, the selected professional will contribute to timely and accurate diagnostic reporting while ensuring adherence to international laboratory standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform cytology screening and analysis with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Identify abnormal findings and escalate cases appropriately for further review.
• Maintain laboratory quality assurance and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, JCI, ISO, and internal laboratory protocols.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory teams to support timely diagnostic reporting.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and laboratory reports.
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the laboratory environment.
• Adhere to all regulatory and professional standards governing laboratory practice.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
• Valid UAE Healthcare License (DOH, MOH, DHA) or ASCPi certification.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in medical laboratory practice.
• Minimum 3 years of specialized experience in Cytoscreening.
• Strong understanding of laboratory quality assurance and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of CAP, JCI, ISO, and other applicable laboratory accreditation standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
