Description:
A leading food manufacturing company based in Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Officer to join its quality team. The role is focused on ensuring food safety compliance, maintaining high product quality standards, and supporting regulatory certification requirements in line with UAE and international standards.
The ideal candidate will work closely with production, procurement, R&D, and laboratory teams to ensure all products meet required specifications and safety guidelines. This position requires strong knowledge of food safety systems and hands-on experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, prepare, and update specifications for raw materials and finished food products
• Ensure compliance with ISO 22000 standards and local food safety regulations
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and R&D teams to ensure accurate product information
• Liaise with laboratory teams for food testing, analysis, and shelf-life studies
• Monitor and ensure implementation of HACCP and food safety management systems
• Assist in internal audits and quality system documentation
• Prepare quality reports and provide updates directly to the Quality Manager
• Maintain accurate records of quality checks, tests, and compliance documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within quality and production processes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field
• Minimum 2+ years of UAE experience in Food Manufacturing or FMCG industry
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and food safety standards
• Internal Auditor certification will be considered an advantage
• Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Immediate joiners currently based in the UAE will be preferred
