The organization is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Audit Retrieval Specialist to support its Audit Fulfillment Program. This role focuses on managing medical record retrieval, processing audit requests, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all operations.

The position plays a critical role in handling high-volume medical record requests for audits, including HEDIS, DRG, Risk Adjustment, Payment Integrity, RAC, and CMS-related programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process release of information requests accurately and within required timelines

• Retrieve, scan, and transmit medical records in compliance with established procedures

• Handle audit requests from external organizations and ensure proper validation

• Maintain client account credentials, login details, and renewal tracking

• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance

• Support retrieval projects for healthcare audit programs including HEDIS and CMS audits

• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, confidentiality, and data privacy standards

• Maintain organized, clean, and secure work environments and documentation

• Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to client needs

• Work efficiently under deadlines while managing multiple tasks

• Support additional workload during backlogs or peak operational periods

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (GED) required

• Minimum 2 years experience in medical records or related healthcare setting preferred

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

• Ability to type at least 50 WPM

• Experience using office equipment such as scanners, fax machines, and copiers

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Customer service-oriented mindset with attention to detail

• Willingness to learn new systems and processes quickly

• Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
