Description:

We are hiring an Emirati Control Room Engineer

For a private joint stock company comprising local and international investors.

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for directing the overall safe, reliable and efficient operation of GT/STs and HRSGs, Generators, associated auxiliary equipment and Switchgear, in accordance with policies or as directed by the Shift Charge Engineer.
• Establish and maintain technical standards and procedures for the control room
• Plan, configure, and operate the control room
• Review and maintain engineering drawings and specifications for equipment in the control room
• Lead team of engineers in providing support for audio/video productions
• Maintain control room inventory and report any equipment problems to Engineering
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Five years’ experience in Power Plant operations
• CCPP Experience, >500MW capacity power plant experience and previous experience as CRE in medium to large power plant are preferable
• Ability to take direction and responsibilities and direct the work of others
• Demonstrated ability to analyze a problem and pursue it to a successful conclusion
• Good communication skills in English
• Team Player
• Availability to work in rotating shifts
