The Payroll Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining accurate, compliant, and audit-ready employee payroll records. This position involves ensuring data integrity, performing payroll audits, supporting compliance requirements, and assisting with HR and accounting functions. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate employee and payroll records across systems
• Audit timekeeping records to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Enter and update new hire information in payroll systems
• Process employee terminations and ensure final pay compliance
• Support SOX audit preparation and documentation requirements
• Conduct payroll audits and perform data validation checks
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and missing information
• Escalate issues when necessary to appropriate departments
• Maintain payroll procedures, documentation, and audit-ready records
• Support process improvement initiatives for payroll efficiency and accuracy
• Provide administrative, reporting, and data entry support as needed
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll, HR, accounting, or administrative operations
• Strong attention to detail and high level of data accuracy
• Experience with payroll audits, compliance, and record maintenance
• Ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Sheets)
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
• Strong knowledge of:
• Payroll processing systems and employee record management
• Audit preparation and compliance (including SOX requirements)
• Data entry accuracy and validation procedures
• HR and payroll administrative best practices
