Description:
ARCHPIX Engineering Consultants is seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join its on-site team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, review, coordination, and supervision of mechanical engineering systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. The role requires ensuring that all mechanical designs and installations comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare mechanical engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and other building services systems.
• Develop mechanical design concepts and detailed engineering solutions based on project requirements.
• Produce and review mechanical drawings, layouts, schedules, and technical reports.
• Perform engineering calculations, load assessments, and equipment sizing.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Provide technical support throughout the design development and construction phases.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor construction progress and provide technical recommendations when necessary.
• Prepare site observation reports and assist in resolving technical issues.
• Ensure quality standards and safety requirements are maintained during project execution.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration or certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience in engineering consultancy.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM software (Revit MEP preferred).
• Knowledge of mechanical design software such as HAP, Carrier, Beta, Psychometric Chart, or equivalent.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Strong knowledge of:
• HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection system design.
• AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and mechanical design software.
• Engineering standards, local authority regulations, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
