Description:
A well-established company in the car rental and automotive sector is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing financial transactions, billing processes, and reconciliations within a fast-paced environment.
This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee Salik, Darb, and traffic fine processes, including downloading, verifying, and allocating charges accurately
• Manage billing activities for corporate clients, including fuel-related charges and adjustments
• Prepare and issue invoices, credit notes, and Statements of Account (SOA) in a timely manner
• Track collections, record payments, and follow up with clients on overdue balances
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
• Accurately allocate fuel, Salik, and Darb expenses to relevant accounts
• Maintain up-to-date client records and coordinate effectively with internal teams
• Handle petty cash transactions and support daily accounting operations
• Process payments while ensuring proper approvals and supporting documentation
• Record accounting entries, including fixed assets and vehicle-related transactions
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in car rental or a similar industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of billing, collections, and reconciliation procedures
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software systems
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently
• Good communication and coordination abilities
