Location: Dubai, UAE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Development to lead our technical team and drive the execution of our product roadmap.
Role Overview:
As the Head of Development, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our platform. Reporting to the CTO in Dubai, you will lead and mentor a team of developers, quality assurance professionals, and business analysts. Your focus will be on designing scalable and resilient architectures, ensuring top-notch performance, and driving the continuous improvement of our development processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, QAs, and BAs, setting clear objectives, goals, and career development plans.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, resilient architecture with a focus on performance, security, and usability.
- Development Oversight: Direct development efforts, including coding, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
- Performance Optimization: Enhance platform responsiveness and efficiency through performance optimization.
- Testing Advocacy: Promote and ensure rigorous testing processes to guarantee application reliability and stability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to convert business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Documentation: Document system architecture, APIs, and development guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine development processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a technical lead or in a similar role, preferably with a background in mission-critical or financial systems.
- Management: At least 5 years of experience in a management role.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Go, with experience in Flutter and React.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for managing distributed systems.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the trading industry is advantageous but not required.
