Gulf Oasis Cafe, a renowned dining establishment in Dubai, is seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring accurate transactions, and maintaining the smooth operation of our cash handling processes.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions with precision.
- Ensure proper handling and counting of cash, and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station.
- Collaborate with the waitstaff and kitchen to ensure seamless order processing and service.
- Follow cash handling procedures and adhere to security guidelines.
- Assist in other duties within the cafe? As needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer service role.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail for accurate cash handling.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and handling various payment methods.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle transactions efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with cash register operations.
- Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable and trustworthy with a strong sense of integrity.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is advantageous.
