Hiring Tester/Quality Assurance Engineer

Type: Full-time (onsite) – Dubai

Job Overview:

As a Tester/QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in the software development lifecycle. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, scripts, and cases, as well as identifying bugs and potential issues. You will collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software products are of the highest quality before deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Execute Test Plans: Create detailed test plans based on project requirements and design documents. Execute manual and automated test cases for new and existing features.
• Test Script Creation: Design, write, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test scripts for functional, regression, and system testing.
• Bug Tracking and Reporting: Identify, log, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). Work closely with the development team to ensure issues are resolved.
• Collaboration with Development Team: Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to understand product functionality, user requirements, and potential risks.
• Automation Testing: Participate in the development and execution of automated test scripts to streamline the testing process.
• Regression Testing: Perform regression testing on resolved bugs and new features to ensure the integrity of the product.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed test reports, outlining test results, issues found, and recommendations for improvement.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Assist in conducting user acceptance testing with stakeholders and clients.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improving the testing process by suggesting improvements in test strategies and workflows.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, TestRail, JUnit, or similar.
• Proficiency in bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or equivalent.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (a plus).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with development teams and document test results.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation purposes.
• Experience in performance testing, security testing, or mobile app testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
